Finished oil on 3ftx4ft panel. Also just started a triptych that will be 4ftx7ft when put together.
Just found out that the show I’m going to be in this September is going to be during Detroit Gallery Week so a shuttle bus will be bringing tons of people to the gallery! This is the best thing that could have happened!
This has been the most challenging and rewarding semester of my undergraduate career. I was taking 16 credits (5 classes) that included a figure painting class where we had a large scale painting due every 2-3 weeks (all of mine were at least 3ftx4ft), a contexts of studio practice class (where we basically just visited galleries and wrote critique papers), an American Government class (where I had to write two 4-page reaction papers and a 7-page research paper), a World History class (that included three short papers and two 4-page book reports), and a watercolor class. On top of all of that, I’m in the middle of working on an undergraduate research project in which I got to go on a 5-day trip to New York and will have to finish 6-8 large scale paintings by the end of August. AND GUESS WHAT I GOT ALL A’S TURDS.

Right now I have so many ideas that my head is spinning and I need to write them all down before I forget them. Also, I’m like 95% on actually applying for the artist residency in Iceland for next summer. Life is happening!
